Welcome! I'm Gavin Deane

Computer Science Masters Student at University of Waterloo

I am a passionate researcher interested in how AI Agents interact in MultiAgent, Game-theoretic settings.

I believe that studying these interactions is key to creating safer, more efficient, and properly aligned multiagent AI systems.

Research Areas

Game Theory

I enjoy modeling competition and cooperation in games, economics, and society

MultiAgent Systems

I am interested in how self-interested agents (AI or human) interact in various settings

Theory of Mind

It fascinates me to think about how humans (and AI systems) model the world

Artificial Intelligence

I believe that attempting to build and understand AI systems leads us to a greater understanding of our own cognition
